A Resolution of the Vestry of St. Thomas’ Episcopal Church

Ahoskie, North Carolina

Whereas being nominated to the Vestry is recognition of demonstrated leadership ability and

 active participation in the life and ministry of St. Thomas’, and;

Whereas, a member of the Vestry of St. Thomas is a servant of the life and ministry of the parish;

Therefore Be It Resolved, that the Vestry has the following expectations of its members:

As a Parishioner

Regular participation in Sunday worship

Regular participation in special events and programs of the parish

Demonstrate leadership in stewardship of time, talent and treasure

Pledge to St. Thomas’ Parish with the biblical tithe as their goal

As a Parish Leader and Representative

Support and encourage the ministry of the Rector and staff in carrying out the ministry of the Church

Facilitate responsible communication between the congregation, the Vestry and the Rector and staff

As a Member of the Vestry

Attend all meetings of the Vestry (normally 11 per year)

Reach out to parishioners through Stewardship calling

Attend Annual Vestry Retreat

Serve as liaison on a committee, attending committee meetings and events
